2026 Europe Best Medic Competition
U.S. Army and Polish medical Soldiers compete in the 2026 Europe Best Medic Competition, Aug. 28-30, 2026, in Landstuhl, Germany. Seven two-person teams participated in the rigorous three-day competition, testing their physical fitness, medical skills, tactical proficiency and readiness through a series of individual and team events.
Competitors were challenged through combat water survival swim training, the Expert Physical Fitness Assessment, a foot march, weapons qualification and stress shoots with the M4A1 carbine, tactical combat casualty care, prolonged casualty care, a written test, aid station operations, and day and night land navigation.
The multinational competition brought together U.S. and Polish medical personnel to strengthen interoperability and assess their ability to perform critical medical and tactical tasks under physically and mentally demanding conditions. The events were designed to replicate the challenges medical personnel may face while supporting combat operations in a complex and contested environment.
The Europe Best Medic Competition identifies the top-performing medical teams in the European theater and provides an opportunity for competitors to demonstrate the expertise, resilience and readiness required of military medical professionals.
