Four Kentucky National Guard Soldiers were interviewed during Patriot 26 to provide insight into the exercise, their roles and the importance of aviation operations and training readiness.
Interviews included U.S. Army Maj. Patrick Carlisle, commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 751st Troop Command, 63rd Theater Aviation Brigade; U.S. Army Timothy Firkins, a crew chief with Charlie Company, 376th Aviation Regiment; U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Colton Jeffries, an aviation operations specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 751st Troop Command; and U.S. Army Joseph Porter, an aviation operations specialist with Charlie Company, 376th Aviation Regiment.
The Soldiers discussed their responsibilities during Patriot 26, the value of realistic training, and how exercises such as Patriot 26 help prepare Kentucky National Guard aviation personnel to operate effectively in complex, mission-focused environments.
