U.S. Air Force Airmen of the 185th Civil Engineering Squadron, Iowa National Guard, traveled to Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, to work and train alongside with Royal Canadian Armed Forces Airmen from Aug 3-16th, 2026. U.S. Air Force 1st Lt. Bryan Prewitt, a 185th CE officer, spoke about the oppurtunity and what it ment for his Airmen. Royal Canadian Air Force Master Cpl Berry Haughian, 4 Wing Mission Support Squadron Carpentry noncommisioned officer in charge spoke about the projects the Canadian and American Airmen worked on. U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Brandon Stender, a water and fuel systems maintenance specialist of the 185th CES, spoke about how his role in the work alongside his Airmen.
