U.S. Airmen assigned to the 3rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron conduct preflight checks on F-22 Raptor aircraft assigned to the 90th Fighter Squadron during RED FLAG-Alaska 26-3 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 26, 2026. The F-22 achieves extreme agility unmatched by other aircraft from its unique thrust-vectoring capabilities. RED FLAG-Alaska provides realistic air combat training to sustain that capability and support power projection in the Pacific area of responsibility.
