U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 353rd Civil Affairs Command, 418th Civil Affairs Battalion and 603rd Military Police Company engage with the local community during a celebration of Estonia’s Restoration of Independence Day in Tallinn, Estonia, August 20, 2026. The U.S. and other NATO forces strengthened their relationships with the communities they support through hands-on community engagement as locals celebrated Estonia’s independence. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO Allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans. (U.S. Army video by Sgt.
