Think you have what it takes to be the best? Prove it.
U.S. Army Rangers assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) are invited to compete for a spot on the division’s Best Ranger Competition team at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Interested Rangers can report to The Sabalauski Air Assault School at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 28, 2026. Candidates will participate in intensive group physical training leading up to official tryouts Nov. 30.
Selected competitors will be detached from their parent units to train full time in preparation for the Best Ranger Competition in April 2027. The Best Ranger Competition tests competitors’ physical endurance, technical proficiency and tactical skills while identifying some of the Army’s most capable Rangers.
