Eleven members of the 130th Airlift Wing’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package (CERF-P) participated in the Armed Forces Advanced Trauma Training at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Facilitated by the Global Training Institute, the program ensures medical personnel are equipped with advanced, lifesaving tactical medical skills required to respond to complex trauma scenarios. These skills are heavily relied upon for national security missions in the National Capital Region, including presidential inaugurations.
The b-roll package features 130th Airlift Wing Airmen conducting hands-on medical interventions during practical lab sessions. Visuals show Global Training Institute instructors demonstrating techniques alongside students performing tactical medical procedures on anatomical specimens. Highlighted training includes tourniquet application, ultrasound imaging, advanced airway placement, and surgical cricothyroidotomies. (U.S. Air National Guard video by Senior Airman Kaden Salmons)
