This video was created in Adobe Premiere Pro 2026 to tell the story of the attack at the Hamid Karzai International Airport from the viewpoint of a U.S. Marine and two Sailors who served with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Aug. 6, 2024. Five years ago, the United States deployed U.S. service members to HKIA as part of Operations Allies Refuge and Allies Welcome for non-combative evacuation operations.
