A U.S. Air Force C-130J Super Hercules aircraft assigned to the 37th Airlift Squadron and a German Navy P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft fly in formation over NATO Allied naval and coast guard vessels in the North Atlantic near Iceland as part of exercise Northern Viking 26, Aug. 24, 2026. NV26 demonstrates the readiness of U.S. and NATO Allied forces to defend Iceland and safeguard the strategic air and maritime corridors connecting the United States and Europe.
