The Gen. John J. Pershing Cup has ended and the winners have been announced. The winners are Maj. Jason Landis and Sgt. 1st Class John Metcalf from Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). The Best Observer,Coach/Trainer competition identifies the exemplary leaders and master trainers who leverage our greatest advantage, Army Reserve, Active-Duty, and National Guard Soldiers, to build the world's most dominant and combat-credible land force, disciplined in training, mastery of warfighting fundamentals, and the ability to outpace adversaries in a rapidly evolving security environment. The Gen. John J. Pershing Cup is the Army’s annual premiere Best OC/T competition, a rigorous four-day competition taking place at Fort Bliss, Texas Aug. 21-24, 2026.
