Observer, Coach/Trainers (OC/T) from across the Army compete in the Best OC/T Competition 2026 at McGregor Range Complex, New Mexico, Aug. 23, 2026. The obstacle course is one of many challenges facing them during this grueling event. The Best OC/T competition identifies the exemplary leaders and master trainers who leverage our greatest advantage, Army Reserve, Active-Duty, and National Guard Soldiers, to build the world's most dominant and combat-credible land force, disciplined in training, mastery of warfighting fundamentals, and the ability to outpace adversaries in a rapidly evolving security environment. The Gen. John J. Pershing Cup is the Army’s annual premier Best OC/T competition, a rigorous four-day competition taking place at Fort Bliss, Texas, Aug. 21-24, 2026.
