U.S. Airmen assigned to the 703rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron conduct pre-flight checks on an E-3 Sentry aircraft assigned to the 962nd Airborne Air Control Squadron during RED FLAG-Alaska 26-3 at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 20, 2026. The E-3 Sentry extends situational awareness for leadership, aircraft and allies, painting a more comprehensive picture of the airspace it occupies. RED FLAG-Alaska utilizes the Joint Pacific Alaskan Range Complex which covers approximately 120,000 square miles, providing realistic combat training environments essential to achieving air and space superiority in the Pacific region.
