U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. William J. Bowers, Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, highlights the work of the Marine Corps’ COVID Reinstatement Cell and welcomes eligible Marines to return to their place in formation at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, Aug. 18, 2026. The Marine Corps has led efforts to provide a path back to service for Marines separated due to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Any Marine separated due to the mandate can visit the COVID Reaccessions website to learn more about the reinstatement process and begin the journey back to the Corps.
