B-roll footage highlights the completed Three Rivers Project near Tichnor, Arkansas, Aug. 12, 2026.
Located near the confluence of the Arkansas, White and Mississippi rivers, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project reduces the risk of a cutoff forming between the Arkansas and White rivers and protects the long-term reliability of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
The project helps safeguard navigation and regional commerce while protecting the surrounding environment and strengthening the resilience of this nationally significant waterway. The navigation system in Arkansas moves an average of 11.3 million tons of commodities annually and generates an estimated $8.5 billion in economic impact for the nation.
