U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 57th Rescue Squadron based out of Aviano Air Base, Italy, participate in Exercise Savage Jackal at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., July 17-31, 2026. The exercise certified the 57th RQS as a personnel recovery task force, evaluating the squadron’s ability to plan, command and execute full-spectrum personnel recovery operations across multiple environments.
