B-roll showing U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard medics provided care to patients during Exercise Northern Strike 26-2, Aug. 10, 2026, at Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, Michigan. The medics were providing Expeditionary Medical Support when they came under unmanned aerial vehicle attack. After the attack, they were forced to move their patients and additional casualties to an underground bunker where they continued to provide medical care. The scenario was designed to test their ability to operate in a contested environment. NS 26-2 is a premier reserve component training event that focuses on joint readiness training to build interoperability and strengthen partnerships in an all-domain environment.
