U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers and members of Panama’s Brigada de Fuerzas Especiales, Peru’s Comando de Inteligencia y Operaciones Especiales Conjuntas, and the Ecuadorian Marine Corps’ Grupo de Acción Rápida de la Infantería de Marina, conduct a simulated direct-action raid to capture a time-sensitive target during PANAMAX 2026 in Colón Province, Panama, Aug. 6, 2026. The multinational special operations force infiltrated by U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, moved to the objective, conducted the raid and extracted the simulated target. PANAMAX 2026 scenarios help the defense and public security forces of participating nations improve interoperability, hone their skills during scenarios involving coalition and all-domain operations, forge strong cooperative partnerships, and demonstrate their collective capacity to respond to and deter threats to the region and its critical waterways.
