U.S. service members deployed to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) welcomed their new command senior enlisted leader (CSEL) during a change of responsibility ceremony at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, August 6, 2026. U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Mike Brown, outgoing CJTF-HOA CSEL, transferred responsibility to U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Luke Johnson. The commanding general of CJTF-HOA, U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Shane Morgan, presided over the ceremony.
