    9th Reconnaissance Wing

The 9th Physiological Support Squadron (9 PSPTS) plays a critical role in enabling the U-2 Dragon Lady mission by providing specialized physiological support, training, and full pressure suit expertise for high-altitude operations. Supporting worldwide intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, the squadron sustains more than 6,400 man-days annually across three forward operating locations and two en-route recovery bases. As the U.S. Air Force's sole Full Pressure Suit (FPS) depot maintenance and supply center, 9 PSPTS provides maintenance and life-support capabilities for the 9th Reconnaissance Wing, the Department of Defense, and NASA. The squadron also serves as the Western Regional Training Center, delivering mission-specific physiological and performance optimization training to DoD personnel, NASA astronauts, high-altitude parachutists, and other specialized support personnel. This documentary highlights the Airmen whose expertise ensures pilots can safely execute some of the world's most demanding high-altitude missions.
