U.S. Army student pilots assigned to the 1st Battalion, 145th Aviation Regiment conduct the Army’s first solo cross-country flight training during the Basic Warfighting Skills phase in decades at Shell Army Heliport, Fort Rucker, Alabama. The newly reintroduced training strengthens pilot autonomy, confidence and aeronautical decision-making as students prepare for tactical flight operations.
