FORT HUNTER LIGGETT, Calif. — Valley Exercise (VALEX) is a key component of Operation Bold Eagle, a premier multi-echelon training exercise that provides mission command for 74 units and more than 3,300 participating Soldiers during Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX) 26-02 and Global Medic. VALEX validates communications systems and interoperability among U.S. Army Reserve, active-duty and partner nation forces, ensuring participating units can exchange information, maintain reliable communications and operate effectively in a multinational environment during large-scale combat operations.
