U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, conduct chainsaw licensing training at the Border Patrol Station in Naco, Ariz., July 10, 2026. The training equips the Marines to be properly licensed and skilled to safely operate chainsaws for future vegetation clearance operations. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
