U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to V Corps subordinate units, Scottish soldiers from the U.K. army and professional soccer players touring with the Armed Forces Entertainment Heat Wave Summer Event Series, run drills and play a scrimmage soccer match during a soccer clinic held at Tapa Army Base, Estonia, July 9, 2026. The clinic was part of a 3-week All-Star Soccer Tour organized by AFE to provide deployed service members an opportunity to engage with professional players and improve their soccer skills. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans.
