U.S. Marines from a wide range of units subordinate to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and II Marine Expeditionary Force conducted a combat air support training event as part of exercise Mjolnir Strike 26-4 at Bombing Target 11, Piney Island, North Carolina, June 30, 2026. Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point’s outlying fields and ranges, such as BT-11, are frequently used locations for quality training by the Department of War and U.S. allies. Mjolnir Strike is joint terminal attack controller training that is instrumental in the success of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force by providing realistic training opportunities.
