Service members from the U.S., Lithuania and Germany participated in a day of camaraderie and friendly competition commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States’ independence at Pabradė Training Area, Lithuania, July 3, 2026. Participants gathered to compete in volleyball, basketball, tug-of-war, a relay race and a bench press competition before concluding the festivities with a cookout and live music. V Corps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans. (U.S. Army video by Sgt.
