Native plants grow on a partially restored section of Resurrection Creek June 23, 2026, on the Chugach National Forest near Anchorage, Alaska. The vegetation is part of the Resurrection Creek Restoration Project, a collaborative effort between the Forest Service, non-profit organizations and private industry to restore historical watershed functions, enhance salmon spawning habitat and reclaim past mining corridors.
