U.S. Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 24, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, alongside Portuguese navy special forces, conduct a simulated mass casualty event during exercise Baltic Operations 26 in Skrunda, Latvia, June 15, 2026. The mass casualty training was conducted to enhance combined medical response capabilities, strengthen joint force readiness, and build allied interoperability in crisis scenarios. BALTOPS 2026, the premiere maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
