Soldiers assigned to the 185th Regional Training Institute's Combat Medic Specialist reclassification course participate in a mass casualty (MASCAL) training exercise at Camp Dodge, Johnston, Iowa, May 14, 2026. Soldiers conducted the realistic training scenario, which challenged students to apply medical skills, communication, teamwork and decision-making under pressure. Through hands-on instruction and mentorship from experienced medics, the soldiers are building the confidence and readiness required to provide lifesaving care in operational environments.
