U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle (WIX 327) leads the parade of sail during the Sail250 Virginia opening ceremony, June 19, 2026. For the monumental event, the Coast Guard served dual roles as lead federal agency for maritime safety and security while the Eagle led the regatta of tall ships into Norfolk, Virginia, which welcomed over 60 U.S. and foreign tall ships and military vessels from 20 nations.
