Joseph Fischesser, an engineer assistant with Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border in support of Operation Ardent Vanguard, discusses his role in developing a 3D rendering of the innovative bracket design developed by the Marines with JTF-SB to secure the southern border during an interview at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., June 16, 2026. Fischesser’s rendering is a step forward in more effectively and efficiently securing the barrier along the southern border. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
