U.S. Forces and the Republic of Korea Ministry of National Defense have held a Joint Repatriation Ceremony for newly discovered Korean War remains at Seoul Air Base, Seoul, June 5, 2026. Ten R.O.K. remains and three U.S. remains were welcomed back to their respective homelands in a ceremony consisting of the presentation of the remains, addresses by R.O.K. President Lee Jae Myung and U.S. Army General Xavier Brunson, a flag laying ceremony with salute to the fallen and a send-off for the remains.
