Troopers assigned to the 3d Squadron, 3d Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, conduct a squad live-fire exercise at Fort Hood, Texas, June 3-4, 2026. Troopers dismounted from Stryker vehicles, engaged targets with live ammunition and established a hasty defense while operating under physically and mentally demanding conditions, strengthening the tactical proficiency, decision-making and readiness required for combat operations.
