40th Infantry Division Soldiers, part of the California Army National Guard, conduct a multidomain movement of personnel, vehicles and equipment aboard a Landing Craft, Air Cushion, from Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, to San Clemente Island, June 4, 2026, during Annual Training 26. The movement integrated ground, aviation and maritime assets to strengthen the division’s ability to coordinate air, land and sea operations while building readiness for state and federal missions.
The training showcased the division’s ability to move Soldiers and equipment across multiple domains while working alongside U.S. Navy and Marine Corps partners. From aerial observation aboard a UH-72 Lakota helicopter to maritime transport and ground movement, the operation reinforced the coordination, communication and adaptability required to support missions across California and beyond.
