U.S. Army Soldiers with the 315th Engineer Battalion, 130th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, conduct aviation medical training in Del Rio, Texas, April 28, 2026. The training exercise was part of a coordinated effort to enhance rapid-response capabilities and streamline medical evacuation procedures alongside federal law enforcement partners. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
