This week we will be discussing the phenomenon of Choice Blindness with Dr. Robert Patterson, Senior Psychologist at the Air Force Research Laboratory.
Robert Patterson received the Ph.D. degree in Experimental Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 1984. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Neuroscience with Northwestern University from 1985 to 1987.
From 1991 to 2010, he was an Assistant, Associate (tenured), and Full Professor of Experimental Psychology and Neuroscience with Washington State University. In 2010, he willingly resigned his faculty position and took a full-time position with the Air Force Research Laboratory.
He is currently a Senior Psychologist with the 711 Human Performance Wing, Air Force Research Laboratory. His expertise is in human visual perception and decision making. Dr. Patterson is a Member of the IEEE, the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and the System Dynamics Society.
He was a recipient of the 2012 Harry G. Armstrong Scientific Excellence Award of the Air Force Research Laboratory.
