U.S. Marine Corps Col. Patrick Pluas and Sgt. Maj. Hector A. Rivera, the command team of Combat Logistics Regiment 1 (CLR-1), 1st Marine Logistics Group (1st MLG), visits the Marines of Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st MLG, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), and their interagency partners in Nogales, Ariz., April 27, 2026. CLR-1 leadership visited the region to meet with Marines assigned to JTF-SB and observe operations conducted in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) barrier reinforcement efforts. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
