U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 3rd Mobile Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), conduct a live-fire exercise integrating unmanned systems during a Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) rotation at Fort Polk, Louisiana, April 20, 2026.
Systems used during the exercise include the Aero Sky, Aerosonde and ABE 1.0.1 unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). During the exercise, Sgt. Bruce Neill, a 15W Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System specialist with the Rakkasans, explains how the Aerosonde and Aero Sky UAS support operations by providing continuous surveillance and real-time reconnaissance to units in the field.
