Central Washington University ROTC kicks off its annual Norwegian Foot March tradition this year in Ellensburg, Washington. The Norwegian Foot March (Marsjmerket) is a grueling 18.6-mile endurance march introduced in 1915 to test military readiness. Participants must carry a 25lbs (dry weight) ruck on their back and finish the foot march within a designated time standard according to age and gender, to be able to earn the Norwegian Foot March Badge.
