Dr. Jason Roos, the Deputy Joint Program Executive Officer for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense, gives the JPEO-CBRND's keynote remarks at the Joint JPEO-CBRND/Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office Industry Day, held alongside the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Consortium and the Medical CBRN Defense Consortium General Membership Meeting. This event allowed consortium members and U.S. Government representatives to interact and learn about upcoming prototyping requirements for the CWMD and MCDC OTA consortia. The industry day had representatives from JPEO-CBRND, DTRA, SOCOM, CCDC CBC, DHS CWMD Office and other users of the CWMD OTA that presented prototyping requirements and meet with consortia members. Highlights included program requirement briefs, member speed networking sessions, training on better understanding and utilizing the OTA process, evening social and numerous Information Sharing Sessions hosted by the government.
