Zach Lanctot, assigned to 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment conducts an interview during the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union Leader Validation Exercise (VALEX) at Pabradė Training Area, Lithuania, April 18, 2026. Lanctot discussed the purpose of the nine week training program, which brought together approximately 400 leaders from 10 districts to develop small-unit leadership, planning and execution skills alongside U.S. Soldiers.
