U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 3rd Mobile Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), conduct training with emerging technology capabilities in preparation for a live-fire exercise integrating unmanned systems during at the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) Fort Polk, Louisiana, April 20, 2026. Systems used during the exercise include the Aero Sky, Skydio and Attributable Battlefield Enabler (ABE) 1.0.1 unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), and the FireAnt unmanned ground vehicle (UGV). The UAS are used for reconnaissance, observing the area and supporting targeting, while the FireAnt UGV is designed to detect and track armored targets. (U.S. Army video by Spc. Sandy Vera Vazquez)
