U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Regiment 17 and U.S. Army soldiers with 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border, conduct a UH-60 Black Hawk aerial reconnaissance operation near San Diego, April 17, 2026. JTF-SB provides a variety of support to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including aviation. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and CBP within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
