U.S. Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, conduct a transfer of authority with Marines of 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, all assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB) at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., April 15, 2026. The transfer of authority ceremony is a formal event signifying the transfer of command and operational duties between an outgoing and incoming unit. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
