On March 21st 2026 members of 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) and 3rd Special Forces Group participated in Blackbeards Revenge 100mi Ultra & Relay. The Blackbeard’s Revenge 100 Mile is a uniquely challenging endurance event held along the scenic Outer Banks of North Carolina, taking participants on a 100% paved, point-to-point journey from Corolla to Hatteras. Covering distances of 100 miles, 100K, or as part of a relay team, the race tests both physical stamina and mental toughness against coastal winds, shifting weather, and long, open stretches of road. Known for its spirited “pirate” theme and strong sense of camaraderie, the event brings together runners from across the country to share in an unforgettable experience that blends grit, community, and adventure.
