Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio (FIDAE) 2026 officially began April 7, 2026, in Santiago, Chile, with a ceremony featuring remarks from the president of the Republic of Chile and Chilean senior government and military leaders, followed by a ceremonial ribbon cutting. A second ribbon cutting later marked the official opening of the United States exhibition pavilion, which included participation from U.S. Air Forces Southern commander and a visit to the U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team and aircraft.
