A NASA SLS rocket launches the Artemis II mission from Space Launch Complex 39B at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, April 1, 2026. NASA’s Artemis II test flight will take astronauts from NASA Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency, Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen. Following liftoff, Artemis II will test Orion’s life support systems with astronauts aboard and help prepare for future crewed Artemis missions. (U.S. Space Force video by Staff Sgt. Samuel Becker)
