Chief Warrant Officer 2 Trenton Huntsinger, 140A Air & Missile Defense Systems Integrator for the 1st Cavalry Division Artillery, describes the purpose of Operation Condor Rebirth on Fort Hood, Texas, 26 March 2026. Condor Rebirth combines the efforts of Troopers from 6th Battalion, 56th Air Defense Artillery Regiment; 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment; 1st Cavalry Division Artillery; as well as civilian capability providers to assess different technologies, such as drones, radio frequency sensors, and acoustic sensors to detect a variety of air and ground threats to a maneuver formation. The exercise tested the units' teamwork and technological capabilities with each other in a realistic combat scenario, training to increase their combined lethality, survivability, and maneuverability to advance the U.S. Army's Transforming in Contact initiative.
