Farrell Sullivan, commanding general of 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, receives a tour of Frigaard caves and is briefed on their capabilities at Frigaard, Norway, March 23, 2026. The tour was held to brief Sullivan on the pre-positioned ground and logistical equipment maintained and stored by Marine Corps Prepositioning Program-Norway. A key component of NATO's enhanced vigilance activity Arctic Sentry, exercise Cold Response 26 is a Norwegian-led winter military exercise designed to enhance collective defense capabilities and ensure U.S. readiness to rapidly deploy and seamlessly operate alongside NATO Allies in challenging arctic conditions.
