U.S. Army explosive ordnance disposal technicians assigned to the 720th Ordnance Company (EOD), 18th Military Police Brigade, and Kenya Defence Forces engineers with the 10th Engineer Battalion train on demolition explosive effects at Bearing Point 5 in Laresoro, Kenya, March 11, 2026, during Justified Accord 2026. The training improved interoperability and shared understanding of explosive effects, strengthening partner nation capabilities to safely plan and execute demolition operations in a multinational training environment.
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
