U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) participate in a squad competition at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, March. 3, 2026. The competition tested Soldiers on a variety of tasks including weapons qualification, an obstacle course, air assault load preparation, fast rope operations, a 12-mile ruck march, physical fitness events and a board evaluation. The event assessed Soldiers’ physical endurance, technical proficiency and teamwork.
